New Workshops for Autumn/Fall

1-1-capo2Time to get cooking together again! Bettlach workshops will start up again soon and I’ve scheduled four sessions, from Savouring Sicily in September to a full-on Middle East Vegetable Feast in October. In November we’re back closer to home with some New Tastes of Switzerland for a possible future re-edition of my book A Taste of Switzerland, in print continuously since 1992. And finally, December will bring a workshop entitled Christmas is for Sharing, a selection of snappy little holiday bites to tempt even the most jaded/overfed palates. Savouring Sicily – Thursday 18th September, 09:30 – 13:30

Sicilian cooking is the ultimate fusion food, a piquant blend of Greek, Roman, Arabic, Norman, Spanish, French and southern Italian. This workshop will feature dishes gleaned and learned fresh from my late summer visit to the island. FULLY BOOKED

Middle East Vegetable Feast, Thursday 23rd October, 09:30 – 13:30

From all around the eastern Mediterranean come some of the tastiest, most flavour-packed vegetable dishes ever (think Ottolenghi…). We’ll focus on seasonal/autumnal dishes in which veg. plays a starring role. FULLY BOOKED

My book, A Taste of Switzerland, looks set to be revamped and entirely updated. Help me decide which recipes will make the cut for the new edition, as we work on a selection of innovative Swiss dishes from around the country. FULLY BOOKED

fingerfoodChristmas is for Sharing, Thurs. 4th December, 09:30 – 13:30

In the midst of all the rich food served up at holiday time comes a craving for delicious little plates for sharing. We’ll prepare a selection of holiday tapas to tempt even the most jaded palates – great for parties and potlucks too. PLACES STILL AVAILABLE!

 All workshops cost CHF110 or €90, which covers your printed recipe booklet, full lunch menu, wines to match our chosen food and loads of fun.

  1. How much I wish I could join in some of these! Actually we will be near you during October, as we visit Brinley in London and then take off about a week to go by train to Vienna, where John and I have never been.  I hope Judy Pattman is going to join us. Abrazos, Frances
