Cooking workshops in Alsace

The last couple of weeks in Spain wandering round markets fondling vegetables and feasting on fish was all the inspiration I needed for my next few months’ workshops. The season opens on September 26th with Eat Well: Love Vegetables. We’ll take a basketful of late summer vegetables (still hoping my multi-coloured, many-sized tomatoes will ripen) and create starters, stand-alone mains and accompaniments (including some gluten-free options), and fresh, veggie-friendly wines to match.

Then on October 24th it’s Eat Well: Love Fish  – this is the one where we meet the day before at the fish counter of a nearby supermarket to see, select and buy. Next day we cook up a fishy feast together, so you get a feel for what’s available, how to prepare it and what it tastes like, with white wines from Spain and Alsace to accompany.

Last up, on December 5th, will be Keep Calm: Carry on Cooking – loads of ideas for easy, eye-catching dishes suitable for the holidays, with the accent on fresh, delicious and do-ahead, so you can sail serenely through the festive season, plus bubblies from Germany and Alsace.

STOP PRESS: Owing to huge demand for this workshop, I’ve scheduled a second session for the following Thursday, 12th December. Still a couple of places left if you’re interested.

Full details here – and looking forward to our new season together!

  1. Sounds wonderful–I wish we were close enough to participate. Please do send on to Brinley. She is interested in being on your list. Love to you both, Frances
